Stinkin' Thinking

Our lives are busy. We jump out of bed at top speed and race through our day, just to jump back into bed and hopefully fall asleep as quickly as possible so that we can wake up the next day and do it all over again. All the events that happen to us during our day, driving our children to and from sports or school, our careers, relationships, and co-workers can stress us out and weigh heavy on our minds, but this stress is manageable. This type of stress we expect and comes with having a family, a career and a partner. The stress that we don’t realize or recognize, is the stress that we put on ourselves.

The stress we place on ourselves is Stinkin’ Thinking or our limiting beliefs. We may feel like we battle the world everyday but we also battle ourselves. The cliché is true, we are our own worst critic. We tell ourselves we aren’t as physically attractive as we could be, or that our loved ones could do better than us. Maybe we shoot ourselves down with thinking that we are fat, stupid and sometimes just down right worthless. Sometimes we set goals or resolutions, but we already have the mindset that we can‘t do it or that we won‘t succeed. This type of thinking sabotages our efforts and then when we do fail and the “I told you so” thoughts come pouring out. We think we really tried this time but in the end, our negative thinking stopped us from getting what we want. We tell others that it was too hard or we didn’t have enough time, but really our thoughts are saying “I knew you couldn’t do it. Why did we even try in the first place.” We expect absolute perfection from ourselves and we find it hard to accept even the simplest mistakes. How is it that we are able to think such negative thoughts about ourselves and even say such negative things to ourselves? If our friends said the very things that we think, we would get rid of them and not view them as very good friends at all. We somehow think it’s ok for us to be that critical and negative of ourselves. We expect perfection. The truth is it’s not that we can’t accomplish what we set our minds to, our thoughts get in the way.

You are a powerful person and your thoughts are just as powerful. Having positive thoughts can drive you forward toward success and toward the dreams that you want. We have lots of limiting beliefs that keep us stuck where we are at and if you continue to live that way you’ll never make a permanent change. The trick to getting rid of Stinkin’ Thinking is to challenge every negative thought. To challenge these thoughts and create a Victory Plan. This plan will help you to re-program your mind with good thoughts. What are the limiting beliefs and negative thoughts that are keeping you stuck where you are?

A Victory Plan will help you to have more joy, peace and victory in your life. The Victory Plan is one of the best things we teach, so coming to the Maximized Living Makeover on Feb 5th, you will walk out of there not only knowing the foods you need to eat to lose weight but these are the action steps I need to take to make sure I’ll be successful going forward.

This is your time for Victory!!! 2011 is your year where you finally make it stick!!!
